I am entering I suppose my very first “Official” Blog Post and I ask myself, “Where do I begin?”
Well I say, why not start with the – “WHY” I’ve chosen to blog in the first place!
I may surprise many with my choice to travel this path, but then to others it may be no surprise at all. You see, I have long been told when having written a response to someone else’s question or request that – “You only needed a few words or at most, just a paragraph, NOT A BLOODY ESSAY!”, and I grin, realising such a comment was bound to be the inevitable response. Another familiar response, “OMG, you could write a book!“, has playfully been suggested, after my attempts of only intending to leave a brief note.
I find that writing can be quite therapeutic as it can have a peaceful and timely way of releasing and freeing ones inner most feelings and emotions, where as an attempt to communicate verbally on such matters pertaining to intimate concerns of the heart and soul may not always find a way to being expressed in a manner that would otherwise be intentionally appropriate or appreciated.
Personally, I’m not generally one for much small talk, nor bearing my soul – one on one – to others, and this I know can have both negative and positive effects.
As my spiritual awareness grows each day, so too does my willingness to express myself in a way that is healthy for not only myself, but that too, with full consideration, for those who I choose to connect with as well.
When starting out, aligning ourselves with other souls who resonate with our values and beliefs without judging our openness can be a challenge. Gaining respect, trust and understanding for our beliefs from even within our own family environment is not always going to be a given, nor should we ever have high expectations that it should be so. We all come into this life alone and with an assignment placed upon us, we each have our own path to tread, our own journey to experience.
Places such as this platform and other like minded groups – online and offline – provide a place for genuine soul connection allowing understanding and expression of our souls’ intent.
Are you wondering what our purpose is in life? Are you feeling stuck and challenged to move forward with a passion? Are you feeling lost and believe that possibly you have no passion? Then maybe you should re-evaluate your circumstance and think back to when you were a child and what you loved to do.
Challenge yourself to remember what you loved to do as a child.
You see, as we get older we tend to forget the dreams we had as a child – what we wanted to be and what we wanted to do when we got older. Life and other influences tend to rob us of our dreams and our hearts desires, we forget to FEEL with our hearts and tend to get in a head space of conforming to society and it’s demands, we lose our vision and tend to live out the dreams and commands of others.
At a crucial point in my matured years, I sat back and attempted to remember what dreams I once held onto as a child, the thoughts and visions came flooding back to me, within an instant I felt alive and realised that I had found my purpose!
I remember as a very young girl always wanting to one day work somewhere I could have pencil and paper in hand, dreaming of creating something quite wonderful, whether it be in words or in pictures. Over the years I have dabbled with drawing and the written word and always felt like I had this “secret creator” deep within me (we all have a creator within each of us) but I have allowed life and circumstance, doubt and fear, to be somewhat of a distraction, enticing me along paths that led me towards jobs and projects of which I “thought” I wanted to pursue but eventually it all just left me feeling drained, empty and with a sense of no purpose. I felt that with what I had chosen to do, up to a point, had no fulfilling meaning and so this eventually led me to question what life and what I had been doing was all about – what was the purpose of it all?
I am a true believer in that everything does happen for a reason and so in turn now believe that nothing really has been a waste of my time. It has led me to where I stand (sit) today and I now look back with gratitude for everything that has been placed along my path, as it has all challenged me and made me stronger, wiser and more knowledgeable on matters that relate to my purpose.
So with that being said, and in addition to the above, there are many other reasons I have chosen this path;
As well as this site being a therapeutic adventure for not only myself but hopefully others as well, I know that my secret creator is about to be set free and that we will be enabled to express ourselves in ways that otherwise may have been ignored or suppressed.
My WHY undoubtedly extends to feeling a need to serve, help and nurture others – those who are ready to be supported and move forward in life and those who are prepared to recognise their worth; Get Honest, Get Real, Get Raw and to the Core of themselves, as this is where real Healing, Growth and Change beings.
With the many topics and subjects yet to be discussed, I feel and know that this is definitely meant to be.
“You can try to fool others about your happiness, your lot in life, but when it comes down to it you really can’t fool yourself, you know your story, only you know your experiences, your pain!”
So Let’s Get Real!”
Challenge yourself to remember what you loved to do as a child – and what you dreamed of becoming?

If you’d like to add something, if you’d like to discuss something that concerns you, feel free to have a chat and be ready to feel supported, but please note, we’re all here to lift each other up, look for solutions, and be nurtured along our journey.
